Main Heading

This Outlook VBA code sample creates a "sticky note" linked to the currently selected Outlook contact via the note's Links collection and then displays the note for the user to complete. The user will be able to see such linked notes on the Activities page of the contact. Place this code in any regular module in Outlook VBA. You can also download the code and import it into VBA.

Notes

You can add this code to a toolbar button either for Outlook's main window or for an open item, because the Select ... End Select block checks to see whether the code is being run from an Inspector or an Explorer. This is a useful technique whenever you have a routine that you might want to run for a selected item in a folder or for an item open in its own window.
